About

Even though summer break has already started, it's never too late to dive into something new and exciting. Over two months, we’ll explore the fascinating world of calculus together. Each session is at least 45 minutes long, perfect for a bit of brain exercise.

We'll go from limits all the way to series during the summer months, assuming relative proficiency in at least algebra 2 and trigonometry. The summer course will be 2 months long and will include daily sessions except for a few days when I can't make it.

When I was learning it, I got so excited that I just proceeded forward recklessly at full speed though it's challenging for me. But in this course, we'll adjust the pace to meet you where you are -- the schedule is dynamically changed based on your grasp of the topic and whether you find it comfortable.

I’ll keep things interactive, so you can share your thoughts and we’ll work through problems together. I learned calculus in ninth grade using online resources, and I was so excited by it that I aced the AP Calculus BC exam without ever taking the course. Now, I want to make this awesome subject just fun and accessible for you.

Our small class size means plenty of time for in-depth questions and discussions. Bring any calculus-related questions, and we’ll tackle them together. This series won’t be too difficult, but it will definitely be refreshing and rewarding.

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

Feel free to drop in and out and be flexible, but if you miss courses please do catch up, e.g. with Khan Academy videos. Two months is a long time, but if you stick through it, you'll get a great heads start / a well-covered review, whatever you're looking for through the course.

About the Tutor

I'm a high school senior with a passion for math and science, seeing learning as an exploration filled with curiosity and discovery. I believe in active learning, akin to a wanderlust journey. Although I've never taken AP courses, by self-studying, I've got 5s in AP Calc BC, Stat, Physics C, Chem, Biology, and CS using online resources. Now, I'm eager to help others embark on this self-guided learning adventure.
