About

Hi! My name is Jacey, and I’m an 11th grader from North Carolina. I went from a 600 PSAT Math score to a 790 on the SAT in a couple of months, and I hope to share with you all everything I did in hopes that you all increase your scores. In my series, I emphasize the problem solving process for each question in a serviceable way to everyone of all skill levels. Good luck on your tests!!

This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in Math. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You'll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT. Since it's a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can! Note: Cameras should be on so we can all get to know each other! If you have a specific reason why you can't have your camera on, please notify me ahead of time.

Hello! My name is Jacey, and I am an incoming freshman at Duke University! I am enthusiastic in helping other students perform well across a multitude of subjects, but especially math/economics, and I hope to share all of my tips and tricks. To get the most out of this series and respect other learners, follow these attendance rules:

You can only miss one unexcused session over the four weeks. Missing more can impact your learning and may take a spot from another learner who wants to join.

Need to miss a session? Let your tutor know by using the "Submit excused absence" button on the series page. Then, catch up by using the Session Makeup Guide or attending a live make-up session.

Multiple unexcused absences? If you reach two unexcused absences, you may be removed from the series and your Schoolhouse account may be suspended.

Review linear equations and delve into statistics (i.e. box plots, range, median, mode, mean, margin of error, probability) and trigonometry (i.e. special right triangles, trig identities, socahtoa)

We will start with a review of linear lines (parallel, perpendicular, no solution, infinite solutions, systems of equations) and statistics (everything in slideshow + probability). We will then end the session with quadratics (discriminants and min/max values).
