About

Even though summer break has already started, it's never too late to dive into something new and exciting. Over six days, we’ll explore the fascinating world of differential calculus together. Each session is 45 minutes long, perfect for a bit of brain exercise.

Here’s what we’ll cover:
1. Limits and Continuity: Get to know the basics.
2. Introducing Derivatives and Their Properties: Dive into derivatives.
3. Derivatives of Basic Functions: Learn to differentiate with ease.
4. The Chain Rule: Master this essential tool.
5. Derivative Applications: See how calculus applies to mathematical situations and real life.
6. Recap, Exercise, and Q&A: Review everything, practice, and get your questions answered.

I’ll keep things interactive, so you can share your thoughts and we’ll work through problems together. I learned differential calculus in ninth grade using online resources, and I was so excited by it that I aced the AP Calculus BC exam without ever taking the course. Now, I want to make this awesome subject just as fun and accessible for you.

Our small class size means plenty of time for in-depth questions and discussions. Bring any calculus-related questions, and we’ll tackle them together. This series won’t be too difficult, but it will definitely be refreshing and rewarding.

If this series goes smoothly and is well-received, I’ll follow up with an integral calculus series starting in mid-July. So, why not spend some of your evenings (or mornings, depending on your time zone) on this great adventure in learning? Let’s explore calculus together!

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

While I recommend following each lesson in sequence to get the most out of the course, there's no problem if you need to drop in or out. Each session builds on the previous one, but you're welcome to join at any point and catch up as you go. Let's make learning fun and flexible!

About the Tutor

I'm a high school senior with a passion for math and science, seeing learning as an exploration filled with curiosity and discovery. I believe in active learning, akin to a wanderlust journey. Although I've never taken AP courses, by self-studying, I've got 5s in AP Calc BC, Stat, Physics C, Chem, Biology, and CS using online resources. Now, I'm eager to help others embark on this self-guided learning adventure.
