About

Hey everyone! I'm excited to invite you to my seven-day Electricity and Magnetism course (everyone interested can join, not just AP Physics C people). I’m a student who self-studied AP Physics C and aced the exam, and I’ve had a knack for physics since junior high. Analyzing complex physics situations and relating them to real life has always been a thrill for me, and now I want to share that excitement with you.

Here's what we'll cover over the seven days (it's ultra flexible and can be adjusted according to your needs):
1. Electrostatics: Understanding electric charges and forces.
2. Gauss's Law: Applying this key principle to electric fields.
3. Capacitors: Exploring how these components store energy.
4. Circuit Analysis: Breaking down complex electrical circuits.
5. Magnetic Fields: Diving into the fascinating world of magnetism.
6. Electromagnetics: Combining electricity and magnetism in exciting ways.
7. Recap, Exercise, and Q&A: Reviewing everything, practicing, and answering your questions.

Of course, if you have any physics questions related to E&M, bring it onto the table, and I'd be more than happy to have a discussion together.
I know that electricity and magnetism can be less intuitive than mechanics, and it’s normal to struggle. But through our highly interactive sessions and the benefits of a small class size, we’ll tackle these topics together and make them more approachable.
I’m really looking forward to working with you and sharing the pleasures of physics. Let’s dive into the world of electricity and magnetism and have some fun learning together!

Hi there! 👋 I’m Yan, a high school senior with a passion for science & engineering, and sharing the joy of learning. To me, education is more than just grades or exams — it’s a journey of discovery, curiosity, and growth. 🌱✨ 🌟 Who I Am: I’m a hiking enthusiast who finds peace in nature 🏞️, a tech-savvy problem-solver 💻, and an introspective thinker who loves diving deep into ideas and connections. I believe learning mirrors life — full of twists, turns, and those rewarding “aha!” moments that make it all worthwhile. 🚀 📚 My Learning Journey: My school doesn’t offer AP courses, but that didn’t stop me! By exploring online resources and sticking with a growth mindset, I self-studied and scored 5️⃣s on AP Calculus BC, Statistics, Physics C, Chemistry, Biology, and Computer Science. Every Coursera / MIT OCW Video and every Khan Academy practice problem taught me something new — and I’m here to share that with you! 🤝 My Tutoring Philosophy: I'm not here to "teach" you or even "judge" you. I believe learning isn’t a solo trek; it’s a shared thru-hike! 🧗‍♂️ I aim to make sessions collaborative, engaging, and fun. Whether it’s tackling practice problems 🧮, or making sense of a particularly hard concept 💾, you take the centerstage while I occasionally provide a few sparks when needed. 🌟 (Introverts please don't worry, because I'm one too...) 🌍 Beyond the Books: When I’m not geeking out over math or science, you’ll sometimes find me experimenting with cloud platforms (Azure, Gcloud, AWS, etc.) 🤖, planning imaginary trips to Scandinavian towns (why do I do that)🧳, tuning into ATC of random airports (even odder I know)✈️, or getting lost in a classic novel (finally something normal) 📖. I’m all about blending curiosity and creativity in everything I do. Ready to embark on this learning journey together? 🎉
