About

Hello, Ryan here. I'm a junior at a Massachusetts high school, and I can't wait to work with you all on the English portion of the SAT! I love reading and creative writing, so I'm looking forward to taking a deep dive with you all into what makes a passage work, and what messages we are supposed to take away from it. I also like seeing how punctuation can change a sentence's clarity, so I'm happy to talk to you all about how that all comes together. Outside of school, I love running Cross Country, playing the violin, and juggling.

This session will go from March 3rd to March 30th, and during that time we will go over the reading and writing areas of the SAT to prepare you for the test in June.

Can't wait to meet you all!

This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in both Reading and Writing & Language. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You’ll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT. Since it’s a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can! Note: Cameras should be on so we can all get to know each other! If you have a specific reason why you can’t have your camera on, please notify me ahead of time.

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

Please do not miss more than one session over the four weeks, as that will negatively affect your learning and may also take up a spot from another learner who could have attended every session.

If you reach two unexcused absences, your tutor may remove you from this series.

Note from Schoolhouse: This series has sessions with required attendance. If you need to miss a required session, submit an absence using the "Submit Excused Absence" button on the series page. Multiple unexcused absences may lead to a suspension of your Schoolhouse account.

About the Tutor

Hello! My name is Ryan, and I'm part of the graduating class of 2025 at a Massachusetts high school. As a junior, I am taking Calculus BC and AP Language and Composition, and I am looking forward to taking multivariable calculus next year. Outside of my classes, I run cross country and middle-ish distance track, I play the violin, and I have gotten pretty good at juggling. I love learning, and I think that the best feeling you can have is that "aha" moment, when it all just clicks. I always try to pursue that "aha," and I hope I can help you all with that, too!
