About

Topics we will cover: introductory business and project management terminology and skills Content knowledge necessary to join: None! Materials needed: your device to join via Zoom, and something with which to take notes. Project management as a profession is an extremely complex and challenging, as well as interesting and rewarding, set of skills that anyone can learn, and that can be applied to any area of your professional, scholarly, or even daily lives. I look forward to introducing these concepts to you and learning together!

I am an experienced business professional with experience in DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging), Sales, Project Management, New Product Development, Supply Chain, and Planning, as well as a former math teacher (2016-2019), a long-time Khan Academy user (profile name Dayvyd), a Khan Academy Ambassador (2019-2023), and an avid lifelong learner. Some of my certifications include: Master of Education in Math Instruction; Project Management Professional (PMP); Harvard Business School Credential of Readiness (CORe); and Texas certified math teacher, grades 4-12 (roughly arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, and calculus). These sessions will be approximately thirty (30) minutes during my lunch break, so we will have limited contact time; however, I will provide additional resources for your learning and practice, and check my Schoolhouse messages daily for any questions. This first session will cover a quick orientation and ice breaker activity, as well as a very brief introduction to what we will be covering.
