About

Ever want to jump into a great book, but lack the community and motivation? Not anymore! This summer session will be about one of my absolute favorite book series: Dune by Frank Herbert. I promise you that it will be lots of fun as we navigate this book and its impacts on our culture. We will discuss the content of the book, the themes presented, goals of Frank Herbert, and more. 

We will meet weekly. Though this will start on the first book, I expect us to progress to later books and potentially the film adaptations of this series.

You will need a copy of at least the first book to participate and potentially more as this series progresses. The schedule for reading pace and when sessions will take place will be discussed more in the first session.

Please try to come to all sessions to get the most out of this. If you do miss a session, try to let me know so I can help make sure you are kept up to date with what we are doing.

About the Tutor

Hi! I am a rising high school senior that loves math, science, medicine, and learning. Currently, I am focusing on computer science, medicine, and Chinese. I scored a 5 on AP Calculus BC, and I got an SAT reading score of 780 and a 800 on my SAT Math. I am a varsity swimmer and enjoy snowboarding during the winter. At any given time, you will find me buried in a book, learning something new online, trying new foods, playing video games, or getting ready for college.
