NOTE: In preparation for the August 28th SAT. CLASSES WILL HAPPEN EVERYDAY OVER THE COURSE OF AUGUST. 

In this series, lasting through the month of August, we will go over the entire SAT Math course to help reach your goal score. 

This series will eliminate all of your weaknesses and introduce you to the most important concepts in SAT math. An understanding of basic math topics is expected, but I will be going over all topics as necessary. 

Official practice tests will be given every Saturday over the course of this series in order to simulate a real SAT math environment! 

Please come prepared for an intensive series, ready to absorb information and have a good time!

Hi everyone! My name is Sophia and I joined schoolhouse because I know just how valuable tutoring is. I have received help from tutors, family members, and friends throughout my school experience, and I know that without the support I received, I would not be where I am today. I'm super excited to offer my services to schoolhouse and hopefully give back to the community that made me who I am today.

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

You must attend the orientation and at least 3/4ths of the sessions in the series. This is an extremely intensive SAT prep course and attending all sessions is recommended for the best results. If you cannot attend a session, please let me know prior to the session. Please do not sign up for the series unless you can commit.

In this session, I will be going over the objectives of this SAT course, the different concepts we are going to learn, the timeline of material, and the ultimate goal of this series.

In this session, we are going to go over the first two concepts of SAT math: Exponents and Radicals, and Percents.

Within Exponents and Radicals, we have the following sub-topics: Laws of Exponents, Evaluating Expressions with Exponents, Solving Equations with Exponents, and Simplifying Square Roots.

Within Percents, we have the following sub-topics: Percent Change, Simple Interest and Compound Interest, and Percent Word Problems

In this session, we are going to go over Constructing, Manipulating and Solving Equations. Within this topic, we will learn about the different methods to solving an equation, including matching coefficients and clearing denominators. We will also discuss some of the common mistakes made when doing such problems, and go over ways to prevent such mistakes.

In this session, we are going to go over Systems of Equations. Within this topic, we are going to go over different equations solving techniques including:
- Substitution
- Elimination
- Systems with no Solutions and Infinite Solutions
- Word Problems

- Graphing Systems of Equations

SAT MATH PRACTICE TEST!! (math sections only)

Please be sure to bring a graphing calculator, and a paper and pencil to write down your answers and do scratch work. 

This is a timed test and you will be given similar conditions to the actual SAT: 25 minutes for the SAT Math No Calculator Section and 55 minutes for the SAT Math Calculator Section.
