Series Details

About

In this series, we will be going over the basics of chess. This includes how to move the pieces, common endgames, popular openings, and of course, the often-forgotten middle game. I ask that everyone have their cameras on (let me know if you can't) and come ready to participate. The plan for each lesson is that I'm going to teach some concepts for the first half, and then we can play for the second half. This series is the second of its kind, so this will be a repeat if you attended the first series (if you'd like to, you're more than welcome to attend though). IMPORTANT: Before you join a session, please create a Chess.com account and join our club at this link: https://www.chess.com/club/schoolhouse-world-chess

Tutor Qualifications

I played competitive chess for 6 years and won top 10 both as an individual and a team at the state and national level for my age.

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

Because this is a series for beginners, I stronlgy advise that you attend every session. If you miss one, the content of the next may not make sense. However, if you do have to miss one, you will not be removed from the series. Also, if you miss an important session and would like to keep up, I would be more than willing to host a make-up session.
