About

Targeted groups
High school students
GCSE or IGCSE Biology students
AS Level or A Level Biology students
AP biology students

🌿 Starting from the basics of structural biology, we'll explore the microscopic wonders that shape life. As we progress, we'll unravel the mysteries of advanced life processes and the mechanism behind them, from the hidden power of DNA to the dynamic interactions within ecosystems.

Perfect for curious minds and students alike, let's make biology an exciting adventure together!

We can also arrange individual sessions depending on your requested topics, whether it be to prepare for an upcoming test or to learn about a new topic for the very first time!

Tutor Qualifications

Hi, Im Ravindu!

I've taken Biology for IGCSE, Sri Lanka O Levels and international A levels and managed to successfully achieved the highest grade in all these examinations. Furthermore, I scored a perfect 100% for 3 of my 6 A-level biology papers.

My love for biology, specifically at a molecular and cellular level, also inspired me to take the HarvardX "Principles of biochemistry" online course, equivalent of 1 semester of college.

Session 1

Genes, cells, and organisms

DNA/RNA STRUCTUR AND REPLICATION

Overview
We will explore one of the most important biological macromolecule- Nucleic Acids. We'll focus on DNA and RNA structure, how they form polymers and how they exist in organisms, and ultimately how they self replicate. Understanding these concepts at a basic level is imperative for best performance in biology at any level.

Genes, cells, and organisms

PROTEIN SYNTHESIS - HOW GENES ARE EXPRESSED

Overview
We will embark on one of the most fundamental biological processes within any living organisms and learn how our genes actually express our physical characteristics. You might have heard the phrase, "you are the culmination of your genes." Well, get ready to know what that actually means!
