About

This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in Math. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You'll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT. Since it's a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can! Note: Cameras should be on so we can all get to know each other! If you have a specific reason why you can't have your camera on, please notify me ahead of time.

To get the most out of this series and respect other learners, follow these attendance rules:

You can only miss one unexcused session over the four weeks. Missing more can impact your learning and may take a spot from another learner who wants to join.

Need to miss a session? Let your tutor know by using the "Submit excused absence" button on the series page. Then, catch up by using the Session Makeup Guide or attending a live make-up session.

Multiple unexcused absences? If you reach two unexcused absences, you may be removed from the series and your Schoolhouse account may be suspended.

In this first session, we'll start with some quick introductions and icebreakers, and then we'll take a practice exam of the no calculator section of the SAT (no need to study, this is supposed to be a baseline). Afterwards, if we have time, we'll review the exam and work though any tough questions.  I hope you'll join us! :)

In this second session, we'll start by reviewing any topics that were challenging on the first practice exam. We'll work step by step to find methods to tackle all sorts of problems within these topics. Finally, we'll start a practice calculator section of the exam and start reviewing any commonly missed questions.

In this third session, we'll start by finishing going over any of the commonly missed questions from the first part of the practice calculator exam we took last session. Then we'll go over some test taking tips and strategies, and review some more challenging topics. Finally, we will continue the calc practice exam, and review questions afterwords.

In this fourth session, we'll start by reviewing some more of the topics we have been having difficulty with. We will finish the calc practice exam, and debrief afterwards.

This fifth session is entirely dedicated to targeted practice on some of the topics that have been the most challenging so far.

Session seven, almost there! In this session, we'll start off by starting another calculator active practice exam.  After that, we’ll spend some time reviewing it and then go into more targeted practice on specific topics and problems.

In this final session, we'll finish the calc active practice from last session, and then review it. To end off the session (and the bootcamp!), we’ll wrap up everything and provide some final words of advice/encouragement.
