About

Earning gold medals in Bio-olympiads, I got A+ in the most challenging level of biology in our school and received 5 in AP biology exam. In this series, I would mainly follow the AP syllabus about both the Chemistry of Life and Introduction to Cell section, which would help the learners to build foundational knowledge in the field of biology. Specifically, the series would cover all over water molecules, biological macromolecules structures and functions, and cell components and their structures and functions.

About the Tutor

I am a high school student from China, and I am here to help others to master biology. I am fluent in Chinese and English, but can also speak a little bit of Spanish. My hobbies include playing piano, playing chess, and swimming. However, what I really like is biology, and that is also one of the reasons I am here. Getting 5 in AP Bio and A+ in the most challenging level of biology our school offers, I am also a biology tutor that has won gold medals in Bio-Olympiads. AP Biology

This session would cover the very first part of the chemistry of life section. Basically, it would clarify intramolecular and intermolecular forces as well as explain the importance of water in biology. These two parts are fundamental principles that anyone who studies biology should be very familiar with. If you are also interested in biology, no matter which specific division of biology, then this session would definitely help you to have a better understanding of biology.

AP Biology

This session would cover the second part of the chemistry of life section. It would include introductions to all four key types of macromolecules, including carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids. Since essentially, all living organisms would involve these macromolecules both structurally and functionally, this session would provide very useful knowledge to anyone who is interested in biology, no matter which specific division of biology.

Catchup

This would be a catchup for the session about the first part of the chemistry of life. If you have already joined the first session after orientation, then you don't have to join this one, but if you do want to join, you are welcome to join and take a review. In addition, this session would also include the transport of substances in and out of the cell in that plasma membrane is what defines a cell. A fun fact: cell wall is already considered extracellular. Joining the session would help you to have a better understanding of how the transport of substances in and out of a cell is moderated.
