Pomodoro Study Sessions
62nd session
💙🫶⭐Hey guys! Come study with me in this helpful series! I love attending Pomodoro sessions since they help me a whole lot when I want to study for a specific amount of time due to my struggles with procrastination. So, I thought, 'Why not start my own series because I know for sure I am not the only one who goes through this 😅!' I will mostly (not sure yet) host sessions after 4PM EST because that is when I start studying individually. 💙🫶⭐
- I sometimes hold sessions on weekends after 1PM EST upon request.
I'll make the series as long as possible!
I enjoy hosting longer sessions because I tend to get deeply involved in my work. 👀 ...
My goal for this series is to help others and myself work productively and to reduce procrastination with the Pomodoro timer 💙!
Note: This is not meant to be an interactive open tutoring for help on completing assignments (though we will try to help if you need it), therefore it is not going to seem that interactive. The whole point is to work in a motivating environment with other learners to help complete assignments. It will not seem to be that interactive as we don't want to ask a bunch of questions which can potentially bother our learners. Although you will be working and doing other things mostly on your own, this is meant to be a helpful and motivating environment for doing such. This is somewhat similar to setting up a timer at home but with this one can not only get extra minutes but also you can be in a more helpful, encouraging, and motivating environment with other learners that will most likely be a lot more effective with getting your work done. This can be very helpful with procrastination and setting times to get your work done with us. Not everyone is able to have or join a study group and this is especially great for them.
We are open to more Co-hosts! Feel free to apply regardless of experience and you can earn hours! :)
- Hannah became a Co-host on 03/21/2024.
- Noah became a Co-host on 03/26/2024.
- Louise became a Co-host on 04/29/2024.

ASL 101: A crash course on silent communication
2nd session
Deaf, hard of hearing, and mute people communicate with the world a bit differently. Here in the USA/Canada they use ASL: American Sign Language.
I'm here to teach the same way you learn a language it's 100% in ASL visually with supplemental information in the chat and on slides. Basically, I will not be speaking at all. Don't worry though! This is the best way to learn.
**I am deaf but I will be able to hear you, so if you ask questions on the mic I can respond**
We'll cover the ASL alphabet, number system and basic conversational signs! 🤟

✨study group✨
Starts
Hey everyone! ❤ Let's study together and get all the work we have completed. I am starting this series because I work much much better with other people and feel more motivated when I know others are working along with me 😂
✨We will be using the pomodoro technique using timers -- I can get some music in the background as well!
✨This is the perfect space for you to be held accountable and to hold others accountable so all of us can successfully get the things we've been procrastinating completed.
✨I will be adding more sessions to the series as we go along and I will be hosting pretty long sessions so that we can continue with the "flow".
✨Turning on videos is optional but highly recommended.
✨If you would like to co-host, let me know, and we can set up sessions with more
timings!

Abstract Algebra Crash Course
12th session
We'll take a brief look at one of the first courses you will take in university if you would like to become a math major. We will begin with the fundamentals—learning some basic set theory, working with complex numbers, and setting the definitions of rings and fields. Then we'll prove some intuitive things that we know about number theory and modular arithmetic (i.e. working with remainders). From there we will generalize our methods to other areas, such as doing "number theory" and "modular arithmetic" with polynomials and much more!
No calculus knowledge is necessary for this series; however, high-school Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 are necessary.
(BTW do you know that this series would be called "Algebra 1" in university?? 😂😜)

Let's Talk About Stress
7:15 PM - 8:15 PM
I have been seeing people posting things about how stressful college searches are going and how emotionally tolling high school can be. Everyone needs a safe space to let them express their emotions (bottling them up is super unhealthy for you. Trust me, I know) This will be a place where you can just rant about everything that has been bothering you lately. This is a zero judgement allowed session, so you are safe to talk freely about your feelings. This can be sort of like a group therapy session. Please don't consider this as a legitimate therapy. We are just talking, I am not capable nor authorized to diagnose anything or offer any treatments. Sorry if that last sentence was weird, I just don't want anyone to be misinformed.
