You will learn about the effects of World War II and the post-war plans developed by the Allies, including the creation of the United Nations. You have also learned how the end of World War II began a competition between world superpowers known as the Cold War. By the lesson's end, you should know what the Americans and Soviets disagreed so strongly over and how the world's leaders tried to prevent another large-scale war from breaking out again.
