It can be intimidating to join a tutoring group and other things may come up so don’t be discouraged if learner attendance dips (it’s not personal!)

All we can do is welcome / encourage our learners through chat, build relationships with them during sessions, and follow up after if they need extra support

Smaller groups can be an opportunity to provide even more personalized support, so adjust your tutoring to who joins each session

If a learner does miss a session (excused or unexcused), you should message them asking them to use the Session Makeup Guide to catch up on the content they missed

If you're seeing very low learner attendance, you can message the series group chat to remind learners about the sessions and send words of encouragement.
