I think you did an amazing job asking questions. I feel like even though they didn't have initial thoughts on what to work on, I'm glad you dug deeper to get a better sense of where the learner was at & build a good pattern of having them engage / respond to your questions! I'm really impressed by the amount of questions you were able to pack in (eg asking if the learner knows about craft & structure, if they like the questions, then if they can go ahead and attempt the question). I think it was also great how you got the learner to drive problem-solving when questions started up.

I think your explanations were all solid! I appreciate the time you took to go through explanations in detail, for example in the first couple questions in the session, you stepped through a couple word choice problems and made sure to go through each option and why they did or didn't make sense in the question.

Later on in the session, you asked the learner again about how they feel on all the topics, and it sounded like they definitely had a boost in confidence! I think what you do at the end of helping the learner reflect on areas of improvement and kinda make a study plan was also a great way to give the learner a specific way to make & see progress!

I love your positive energy! I think the learner seemed a little reserved at first, but I think you got her to open up a bit when you started getting into specific questions (eg about which questions she liked the most!). I also think you did a great job providing positive validation for your learner -- even just the small act of saying good job after she got the question right can mean so much for building confidence! Overall I think you did an amazing job in this session, keep up the good work!
