Exploring Polynomials

    Ended Sat, Apr 13, 2024
Do you know how to find the area of a rectangle? How about the volume of a cube? What if I told you that these simple questions are related to one of the most important concepts in algebra: polynomials? Polynomials are expressions that involve adding, subtracting, multiplying, and raising variables to whole-number powers. They show up everywhere in mathematics, science, engineering, and even art. In this series, you will learn how to manipulate, factor, and graph polynomials, as well as how to solve equations and inequalities involving them. By the end of this series, you will have a deeper understanding and appreciation of these versatile and powerful mathematical tools.📚

This series will be divided into three main units:

  • Unit 1: Polynomial arithmetic. In this unit, you will learn how to add, subtract, and multiply polynomials, as well as use special products. You will also explore the connection between polynomials and the integers. This unit will prepare you for factoring and dividing polynomials in the next unit.

  • Unit 2: Polynomial factorization and division. In this unit, you will learn how to factor polynomials using various methods, such as common factors, grouping, difference of squares, and perfect squares. You will also learn how to divide polynomials using long division and use the remainder theorem to evaluate polynomials. This unit will help you understand the structure and behavior of polynomial functions.

  • Unit 3: Polynomial graphs and features. In this unit, you will learn how to graph polynomials and analyze their features, such as degree, end behavior, zeros, multiplicity, and turning points. You will also learn how to find the average rate of change of polynomials and use sign charts to determine where a polynomial is positive or negative. This unit will enable you to model real-world phenomena using polynomial functions.

Note: This series will last until all of the Polynomials in Algebra II have been covered and fully understood.

Introduction to Quantum Computing

    Ended Sat, Nov 18, 2023
Enroll in a fascinating journey into the world of quantum computing with this comprehensive series. Designed for curious minds and aspiring quantum enthusiasts, this series will unravel the mysteries of quantum mechanics and provide a solid foundation in quantum computing principles and applications. Throughout the twelve sessions, you will explore the fundamental concepts of quantum computing, step-by-step, starting with an introductory session that demystifies the basics. We'll delve into the classical and quantum stacks, examining how quantum computing differs from classical computing and exploring the building blocks of quantum algorithms. Sessions three and four will introduce you to the intriguing world of quantum mechanics. You'll grasp the essential principles, such as superposition and entanglement, and understand how they form the bedrock of quantum computing. In sessions five and six, get hands-on experience with Qiskit, a popular open-source quantum computing framework. You'll learn to work with qubits and construct quantum circuits, giving you the practical skills to manipulate quantum information. As the series progresses, we'll explore advanced topics, including multi-qubit circuits and quantum algorithms. You'll have the opportunity to implement a quantum algorithm using Qiskit and witness its potential for solving complex problems more efficiently than classical algorithms. We'll also explore exciting applications of quantum computing, such as quantum key distribution, which ensures secure communication, and delve into the realm of quantum computing hardware, examining the technologies driving this cutting-edge field. In the penultimate session, we'll review the key concepts covered throughout the series, reinforcing your understanding of quantum computing. Finally, we'll explore the past, present, and future of quantum computing, discussing recent advancements, ongoing research, and the potential impact on various industries.

Polyminal calculations and Equations. Trigonometry

    Ended Fri, Mar 15, 2024
I plan to cover mostly about calculations with polynomials and solving equations. Some equations you may have never met before. Also, anyone who is interested in trigonometry like graphs or equations about it can join in. Note: this series is not about polynomial graphs. If you are interested, comment me to open a session on one. Besides, if somebody wants to solve hard equations, feel free to ask. If necessary, I will open another series.
