About

We will be going over all the information on trigonometry. We will be looking at trigonometry within right triangles and trigonometry within oblique triangles. We will also be going over graphs of trigonometric functions, the unit circle, and trig identities. Each session will be taught on a PowerPoint with many practice questions, so be prepared to apply your knowledge right away.

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

This series is only 5 sessions - missing sessions is fine if something comes up, but please notify me in advance. If the series does become full, I will remove any learner who misses 2 or more sessions without early notice

Session 1

Right triangles & trigonometry

We will be going over the trigonometric ratios in right triangles. You will learn the basic trig functions, their reciprocal varieties, and inverse trig functions as well. Make sure to have your calculator as you will be expected to answer practice questions. Any time left over at the end will be spent on more practice problems from Kahn Academy. Hope to see you all there

Session 2

Right triangles & trigonometry

We will be going over the unit circle, what radians are, conversions between radians and degrees, and knowing the common trig ratios of frequently used angles. Make sure to have your calculator as you will be expected to answer practice questions. Any time left over at the end will be spent on more practice problems from Kahn Academy. Hope to see you all there.

Session 4

Non-right triangles & trigonometry

We will be utilizing the law of sines and the law of cosines to solve for complete oblique triangles. Make sure to have your calculator as you will be expected to answer practice questions. Any time left over at the end will be spent on more practice problems from Kahn Academy. Hope to see you all there.

Session 5

Trigonometric equations and identities

We will be going over trigonometric identities and how to solve problems using them. We will also look at other practical uses for these identities. This topic will be split up into 2 sessions. Make sure to have your calculator as you will be expected to answer practice questions. Any time left over at the end will be spent on more practice problems from Kahn Academy. Hope to see you all there.
