We recognize there are disasters, tragedies, civil unrest, and conflicts happening all over the world. As a community, we want to support our community members that are impacted by these as much as we can. However, as a global platform it is impossible for us to recognize and address each one, and so we ask our community members to reach out to us if there is a regional issue directly impacting them and where a Schoolhouse policy is getting in the way of their learning as a result. For instance, some Schoolhouse programs have required attendance. If you have to miss a session because of a disaster, tragedy, or conflict, and if you end up receiving an attendance-related penalty, you should appeal it in the platform by explaining the context so that we at Schoolhouse can waive the penalty. We want to be as supportive as we can during such difficult times.
